The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE)
is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy
efficiency as a means of promoting economic prosperity, energy security, and
environmental protection. 2010 marks ACEEE’s 30th anniversary as an
organization.
The American Public Power Association (APPA) is the
service organization for the nation's more than 2,000 community-owned electric
utilities that serve more than 45 million Americans. It was created in 1940 as
a non-profit, non-partisan organization. Its purpose is to advance the public
policy interests of its members and their consumers, and provide member
services to ensure adequate, reliable electricity at a reasonable price with
the proper protection of the environment.
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE), is an international organization dedicated
to advancing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to
serve
humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards
writing,
publishing and continuing education.
The California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) is a broad advocacy coalition committed to expanding the role of energy
storage to promote the growth of renewable energy and a more affordable, clean,
and reliable electric power system. CESA’s members are a diverse mix of
energy storage technology manufacturers, renewable energy component
manufacturers, developers, and systems integrators. CESA is technology
and business model-neutral.
The
Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies (CEERT) is a
partnership of major environmental groups and private-sector clean
energy companies. Based in Sacramento, California, CEERT is a nonprofit
public-benefit organization that designs and fights for policies that
promote global warming solutions and increased reliance on clean,
renewable energy sources for California and the West.
The Colorado Clean
Energy Cluster (CCEC) is an economic development organization aimed at growing
primary jobs in Colorado in the area of clean energy through formal
partnerships between clean energy companies, the public sector and higher
education. As a unique statewide organization fostering market transformation
for clean energy, the CCEC is focused on innovative and entrepreneurial ways to
grow the clean energy sector through actionable projects and initiatives that
directly benefit Colorado clean energy companies.
Founded
in 2008, the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association is a statewide
organization dedicated to promoting Colorado's cleantech industry. CCIA is the
only industry-led, industry-focused cleantech group in the state. The
Association’s mission is to provide advocacy, public policy leadership,
development and education in the cleantech sector.
The Demand Response and Smart Grid Coalition (DRSG) is the
trade association for companies that provide products and services in the areas
of demand response, smart meters and smart grid technologies. DRSG works to
educate and provide information to policymakers, utilities, the media, the
financial community and stakeholders on how demand response and smart grid
technologies such as smart meters can help modernize our electricity system and
provide customers with new information and options for managing their
electricity use.
The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association of
U.S. shareholder-owned electric companies. Organized in 1933, EEI works closely
with all of its members, representing their interests and advocating equitable
policies in legislative and regulatory arenas. In its leadership role, EEI
provides advocacy, authoritative analysis, and critical industry data to its
members, Congress, government agencies, the financial community and other
opinion-leader audiences.
The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
is an independent, non-profit company performing research, development and
demonstration in the electricity sector for the benefit of the public. Its broad array of collaborative RD&D
programs focuses on the many specific technology challenges of providing
reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible electricity. EPRI is
funded by membership participation in its research activities. Members
represent more than 90% of the electricity generated and delivered in the U.S.
International participation extends to 40 countries.
The Electricity Storage Association is a national trade association
established to foster development and commercialization of energy storage
technologies. ESA’s mission is “to promote the development and
commercialization of competitive and reliable energy storage delivery systems
for use by electricity suppliers and their customers.”
NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to the research,
development, commercialization and deployment of renewable energy and energy
efficiency technologies. Backed by 33 years of achievement, NREL leads the way
in helping meet the growing demand for clean energy.
The New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology
Consortium (NY-BEST™) is a rapidly growing, industry-led, private-public
coalition of entrepreneurial, academic, corporate, and federal partners
building a vibrant, world-class advanced battery and energy storage sector from
R&D to commercialization based in New York State.
The New Jersey
Energy Coalition generates public support for the production and delivery of
clean, reliable, affordable, American energy to meet New Jersey's growing
energy needs. Membership includes statewide and local leaders and organizations
representing the environmental, business, health care, labor, trade, consumer,
academic, and civic communities.
NWPPA is an international association
representing and serving customer-owned, locally controlled utilities in the
Western U.S. and Canada. The Association also serves more than 250 associate
members across the U.S. and Canada who are allied with the electric utility
industry.
The Peak Load Management Alliance is a diverse association of leading
energy professionals dedicated to developing and promoting consumer
participation in electricity markets around the world using load management.
The Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Green Building Council
(USGBC) is a 501 c3 non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and
sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving
green buildings. USGBC includes a diverse constituency of builders and
environmentalists, corporations and nonprofit organizations, elected officials
and concerned citizens, and teachers and students working to make green
buildings available to everyone within a generation.
