Green Builder Hot 50 Products

2018

Green Builder’s annual Hot 50 Products list is a selection of the most innovative, creative and all-around sustainable products available to the building market. This year’s list received nearly 200 nominees from companies wanting to showcase their latest environmentally-friendly wares. Selections were based on green-ness, innovation and newness to the marketplace. Ice Energy’s Ice Bear 20 residential energy storage and HVAC system was recognized in the Heating, Cooling and Water Heating Category.

Company Energy’s 50 Most Innovative New Renewable Energy Companies

2016

Ice Energy has been recognized as one of the top 50 most innovative clean energy companies by the Energy Company. Winners were selected for their innovative products, technologies, or processes and for supporting new, affordable and clean energy resources.

Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award for Its Thermal Energy Storage Technology

2014

Ice Energy has won a Los Angeles Business Journal Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Award. The award was presented at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Ice Energy was among 15 finalists competing for five annual awards that honor the region’s most impactful innovators. Ice Energy recently was awarded 16 contracts from Southern California Edison to provide 25.6 megawatts of behind-the-meter thermal energy storage using Ice Energy’s proprietary Ice Bear system.

The GoingGreen Global 200 winners were selected from among thousands of domestic and international technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and green technology industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2012 list.

As selected by the Guardian and Cleantech Group, the Global Cleantech100 highlights the most promising private clean technology companies around the world, recognizing companies at the forefront of cleantech innovation, and those that, in the opinion of the selection panel, are “most likely to make the most significant market impact over the next 5-10 years.” This is the second year in the row Ice Energy was selected for inclusion on the list.

The Going Green 100 award honors the top companies “using new technology to deliver resources better, faster, cheaper, and cleaner,” according to the Always On rankings. Judges evaluated hundreds of companies, assessing the breakthrough potential of their technologies, market size, management team, and investors.

2009

The panel of judges, representing American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) members, selected the Ice Bear system based on industry leadership in design, application, value to end users and market impact. Ice Energy accepted the award today at the 7th Annual AHR EXPO in Chicago.

Highest Rating Ever by SmartGrid News Scorecard

The SGN Smart Grid Scorecard is an independent appraisal of the smart grid readiness of products and systems against benchmarks and attributes outlined by standards bodies. Categories include security, manageability, scalability, extensibility, potential impact, openness and more. With a score of 90 out of a possible 100 points, Ice Energy is the first company to score 90 or higher since the scorecard began in early 2008.
